This week is Pro-Choice Week of Action here in the UK.

I really should have known that.

The week of action was originally called because it’s the anniversary of the 1967 act in a general awareness raising sort of way.

but there is now a much more urgent bit because on Tuesday 31st October, Tory MP Nadine Dorries has tabled a Ten Minute Rule Bill seeking a reduction in the time limit for abortion and the introduction of a mandatory delay in service provision (charmingly called a “cooling off period”).

I suggest having a look here: http://www.abortionrights.org.uk/content/view/142/59/ for details and then getting onto your MP ASAP
