The Crown Prosecution Service has launched a document for public consultation on prosecuting cases of disability hate crime
This draft policy statement on prosecuting cases of disability hate crime will be available for public consultation from 30 October until 8 December 2006. An easyread version is also available. Representatives of disability and victim support organisations including the Disability Rights Commission, Victim Support, Mencap, RNID and the Investigations Support Unit, Liverpool City Council have contributed to the document which explains the way in which the CPS deals with cases of disability hate crime.
